Martial arts school software for kids, adults and competition squads
Flexatiq is martial arts school software for BJJ, karate, judo, boxing and MMA that brings age groups, memberships and attendance into one place. Parents book their children in from their phones, coaches see who is coming to each session, and you always know whose membership is up to date.
Day-to-day life in a martial arts school
A martial arts school often runs several worlds at once: kids' groups after school, teenagers, adult beginners and a competition squad. Each group has its own times, its own memberships and its own coaches.
- ✓Fees for children collected from parents in cash at the edge of the mat.
- ✓Paper attendance registers that are hard to add up later.
- ✓No easy way to check whether a student's membership is still valid.
- ✓Several halls or venues, with coaches spread across the timetable.
Age groups and sessions in the timetable
Every group is set up as its own class type, for example "Judo Kids 6–9", "BJJ Fundamentals" or "Kickboxing Fight Team". Sessions are recurring, with an assigned room and a class cap. Students can book themselves in the member app, or the front desk can enrol them.
When a group is full, students join the waitlist and move into the class automatically when someone drops out. For open mat or sparring sessions, the cap stops the mat from getting dangerously crowded. More on this on our class booking page.
Can parents book their children into sessions?
Yes – in schools with junior sections, the parent or guardian has their own account and their children are linked to it. The parent sees each child's membership and books them into sessions, without having to catch the coach after training.
Digital waivers and parental consent forms are not part of Flexatiq today, so keep collecting signed consent the way you do now. The app simply keeps the family's bookings and memberships in one place.
Memberships and check-in at the door
Most martial arts schools sell monthly memberships for a specific group or class packs. Flexatiq covers time-based memberships, class packs, single sessions and subscription-style memberships, plus freezes within limits you set, for example during an injury. A membership can be marked as awaiting payment, so you can see who has not paid yet.
At the door, the student shows a QR code from the member app. The front desk scans it and sees whether the membership is valid; if not, the system gives the reason. The coach no longer has to play cashier and can concentrate on teaching on the mat.
Can you track belts and gradings?
Not yet – belt and rank tracking with grading records is coming soon. What you do get today is full attendance data: session occupancy, no-shows, active students and a list of people who have not been on the mat for 14 days. The attendance heatmap shows the busiest times, which helps when you plan a new group or split one that has grown too large.
Can you run several venues from one account?
Yes – if you teach in several halls or schools, every location is managed from one account, and the Network plan has no limit on active students. Coaches get the instructor role, the front desk has access to sales and bookings, and owners and managers see the reports.
To get started, choose "martial arts" as your facility type to set up starter memberships and class types.
